Tenth Anniversary

It was 10 years ago this month I made the decision to go full time as a custom call maker even though Earl Mickel and Neil Cost advised me not to. I have to say it has been an interesting 10 years with all the ups and downs.But I have enjoyed every minute of it. Well almost every Minute. ;D
So I made a 10th anniversary call to celebrate. It is an all walnut call with a carved Ivory dogwood bloom at the screw, a standing Gobbler that I did on my first calls and the turkey tail at the handle end of the paddle, all carved Ivory.

congrats Whitt on a solid decesion 10 years ago. The callmaking world is lucky to have you. Your talent and sound are top shelf.
Just keep the law away from ya while you are driving around playing your trumpet man---we want to keep ya around for at least another ten years .
Looking forward to seeing ya in Nashville friend .
And....keep showing us the artwork the are also turkey killas !!!!

Irving, Jeff is right...the callmaking world and the craft is lucky to have you and I too am glad you made the decision 10 years ago...your work speaks volumes that we cannot.  This is a true work of art and hopefully you have already found a special place on the mantle or in a shadow box for it.  Hope we are both around to see your 20th anniversary call!
