Here's one for the road... I recently won a guided/filmed deer hunt with Shane Smith, now of Antler Insanity, in MS. I chose 1-1 and 1-2-2012 to do my hunt, thought if I get a nice buck--thats surely a great way to bring in the New Year. I did just that!!! And while I was down there, he introduced me to some really great guys, one stood out above the rest, Brent Russell. He had us over for a new years eve cookout which included a veriety of tasty wild game he had taken. I was telling him that I wanted to do some hog hunting but the guide I was going with was all booked up. Brent made a few phone calls and several hunts were then on their way! Both by dogs and in the delta region, one on foot the other on horseback. He went above and beyond what a newly met friend could have done. We got on the conversation about all the animals that he hunts and he admitted that turkey is his top choice. I kinda peeked around his house and didnt see any "special" calls, so I knew right then what was gonna be in store for him for my appreciation of his help. I talked to a really good friend of mine , Brent Stoner, and we decided on a personal call--cant think of a better way to say thanks! It is gonna be hard letting this call go--but I gotta send it on down the road. I hope he enjoys it and puts it to good use! So, from Brent to Brent, here ya go!
