A "couple" from Glen Marrer
« on: January 15, 2012, 01:57:26 PM »
I owe a friend a call as he has given me several scratch boxes over the years without accepting a cent. Well, I don't make calls so I thought that I would make John a striker and buy him a pot call. I called Glen Marrer to order a couple glass over glass calls. We discussed various woods and I decided to leave the choice to him. This is what came in the mail friday.

The Zebrawood has a beautiful sharp yelp that I love. The Rosewood has a slightly deeper, raspier yelp. The Pau Rosa has an interesting nasaly yelp with a slightly raspy finish that is really growing on me. It could possibly be that something different that makes the difference.

I am going to have a difficult time trying to decide which goes to my friend John.

Thanks Glen.

Those are fine. It would be a hard choice choosing which one to let go. Glen makes outstanding pot calls and strikers.

No respect should be given to a man who does not honor his word. He is just an adolescent who's acorns haven't dropped yet.

Those who stir the S**T pot should have to lick the spoon.
