I was not going to enter this part of the conversation but I thought I would throw my opinion out there. There is not a team in America that can play with Alabama or LSU except for Alabama and LSU. These are by far the two best teams this year. OSU would get absolutely dismantled by either team. If I watched the same game you guys did last night (keeping in mind I played at Alabama and understand a little about College football) OSU was the beneficiary of having superior athletic talent and really bad secondary play and tackling by Stanford. That would not be the case with either LSU or Alabama. OSU is a really good team they are just not on the level of LSU or Bama.

I completely understand the love for an Offensive battle back and forth but in my opinion the two best teams will square off on the 9th. The game could be a blow out by either team or it could be another close one. We will see how it turns out. LSU deserves the respect they are getting and Alabama will just have to prove they are the better team on the 9th if in fact they are. I was in the stadium in November when LSU won and they made more plays when it counted and won the game. If LSU wins then hats off to them for a great season. If Alabama wins then that will be #14 for what is in my opinion the greatest program in all of college football. It will be fun to watch.

That your opinion..Luck just didnt have must LUCK last night.. Just like Alabama or LSU might have if they played OSU..that's my opinion, but neither matters cause there will be no game....Just another boring NCS Champion Game that doesnt really matter because if LSU win we figured that would happen and if Alabama would somehow maybe have a LUCKY game, you still dont have a Champion, because LSU only has one lose and you need another game between them to see who is really the best

This, if LSU wins again then clearly OSU should have had a chance.  No since bitching about the matchup.  The BCS got it wrong, plain and simple.  The AP voters are already discussing the mess created by the BCS by allowing a team that didn't win their division or conference in the game.  At worst, even with an LSU NC loss they finish going .500 against Bama and having beat Bama at Bama. In addition, they finish with 1 more win as a result of the SEC championship and having beat two Top 5 teams, and likely 6 that will finish ranked in the Top 20.  Bama finishes with a single Top 5, and 2 Top 20's.  The end result when comparing resumes?  Even with a NC loss  LSU Is still the SEC and National Champ.

Let me guess that loss to the juggernaut KY was an epic battle that just didn't go ya'lls way. Then again only the 72 Dolphins could have hung around with the mighty Wildcats of the bluegrass state.

[/quote]WOW my Wildcats in a BCS conversation  *dance* Thanks Adam for the memories!! (sorry Chad while I relish in that one) *cool* I'm pulling for the SEC to win another National Championship!! ;D . Then it will be time to put away the pigskin and start hitting the court with some Basketball action! Now that's a real sport  *peep* *bannana* *bowing*Beware!!  You guy's are starting to act like some Rabid Wildcat Fans with all this talk!!  *aah* I have a Idea?? We need a spot on this board for Sports smack talk. Some of these old turkey hunters just don't understand the passion we have for our favorite teams and sports but if we had our own spot....... B-Ready, I remember that 2007 UK vs LSU game well.  It was a hard fought 3OT game.  I also remember that LSU beat Bama that year.  Not that this is something to gloat about as 5 other teams including Div 2 La-Monroe did too.  I also seem to remember Bama being forced to vacate wins due to NCAA infractions.

Funny how some facts get omitted isn't it?

If my Basketball didn't roll on your all's football field and if my Cat's wasn't brought up I wouldn't have put my dog in this run. I respect both teams so who ever wins I'll give them there props! I know this is a old topic but I'm still for flushing the bowls and BCS and going to a playoff system, but I'm not opening that can of worms..... It's Basketball Season  *dance* "Go Wildcats"

Wiltznucs...it's all in good fun man. Don't get so worked up. Adam is just getting you riled up.  LSU is actually mine and Adams second favorite team (Kentucky is right there for me as well since I played there two years before transferring to Bama).

When we were kids dad pastored a church right outside Baton Rouge in a town called Grosse Tete while we lived in New Orleans. Lots of good friends that are LSU fans.

There is much history there. Dad always talked about the game in the rain in Baton Rouge in the 79 season  that he was at where Bama won 3-0. Also dad was at the 78 and 79 season Sugar Bowl where Bama won back to back titles (LSU was not involved) So that is why I am so excited. There is a good rivalry there that has really only become considered a rivalry by us snobby Bama fans in the past 10 years because as you are so good at pointing out history LSU had gone 31 years without beating us in Death Valley and from 1964 through 2000 the series record was Alabama 27-wins LSU 8 wins and -1 tie. Since 2000 LSU has 9 wins to Bamas 3. That was all started by a man named Nick Saban. Only in the past 10 years has LSU been relevant as far as us Bama people go. You have a great program now and have been getting the best of us lately.

As I said. I can't wait. Roll Tide and as a parting shot...I SMELL CORN DOG'S!

One last thing. Whoever wins the game is National Champ. Regardless of the AP. if not make sure to only claim 1 championship and 1 co-championship since 03 and give USC the other part and the 07 title would be for a 2 loss LSU team. If LSU goes undefeated it will be there first since 1958 so definitely cause to celebrate.

You really are a bitter little corn dog aren't you? Why do you hate Bama so bad? It's funny you talk about omitting facts but you fail to mention the other loss you guys had that year. You backed into the title game that year and you know it. If you really feel that OSU could stay on the field with UA or LSU then I'm wasting my breath anyway. The only people wanting that game are the people that want to see the matchup of cute offense vs good defense. Anyone honest with themselves that want the two best teams in the country playing will want this LSU vs Bama game. If you honestly feel that LSU and Bama are not the two best teams, then you either don't watch college football, or you don't know your head from a hole in the ground. If we are counting losses, which is a very short sighted way to do it, OSU lost to Iowa St. I don't care who you are if you lose to Iowa St. you don't deserve it. At least Bama had one loss to seemingly the best team in the country. In a game that they outplayed LSU.

Bottom line, if Bama wins then they will have beat you on your home turf also. So it will be even. Don't act like beating UGA in the SECGC was some kind of great win. If anything playing in that game helped you guys. UGA is soft and it gave you guys another chance to play. Good luck and it will be another great win. Whoever wins the game, hats off to them they will deserve it.

LSU will finish the season with more wins and more quality wins than Bama regardless of Monday's result.

LSU is the SEC Champion 13-0...  Having won the SEC and having beaten Top 5 Bama at Bama, Top 5 PAC-12 Champion Oregon at a neutral site, Top 10 Arkansas, Top 20 UGA on a neutral site, Top 20 Auburn, Top 20 Big East Champion W.Virginia at WVU, and wins against UF and MSU who may finish ranked.

Bama is the SEC West runner up 11-1..  Champion of nothing.  Having beat Top 10 Arkansas, Top 20 Auburn, UF, MSU and a team that will finish unranked in Penn St.  The most notable opponent they faced, defeated them in their home stadium..

LSU playing at the Super Dome is not a home game.  LSU playing in Death Valley is a home game.  The BCS alotting 16,000 tickets to LSU/Bama in a 70,000 seat stadium assures it.  More than half the tickets are available to anyone with a checkbook.  The only people suggesting its a home game for LSU are Bama fans trying to legitimize a unanimous National Title should Bama actually win on Monday.  To be sure, Bama is not going to Death Valley where 90,000 LSU fans await.

To suggest that LSU playing another game helps LSU is more attempts to legitimize Bama's win should it happen.  There is no benefit to having played in the SECCG, LSU's position was locked in the BCS Championhsip without the game even being played.  The SECCG only offered risk of injury to LSU.  A risk that Bama didn't have to take on.

The good news is, none of this will matter Monday when LSU wins...  Cheers! *cheers*

Can we do a friendly sig bet? It will be fun. LSU wins you pick the sig. Bama wins and I pick the sig.
