Fiddle Paddle from Mr. Marlin Watkins ...
« on: September 23, 2009, 07:34:18 PM »

Mr. Marlin Watkins was nice enough to take the time to make up a few of his fine Fiddle Boxes for me a little while back ...

... a finer callmaker & a nicer man you will not meet - Marlin always makes you feel "right at home" when talkin' with him ...

... this one is a Poplar under Kwila Fiddle Paddle Box ...

... excellent turkey talk comes from this very fine Fiddle Caller of Marlin's - thanks again Marlin for takin' the time, & for makin' such a fine call for me ...

"would sure hate to hav' to pick between the two of 'em"                                                                                     TFM 101 ... ::)

Jim that is a sweet call and you are right on about Mr. Watkins. That Kwila is a special sounding wood for sure.

I love the little unique quotes he puts on his long boxes. I traded him out of a holly/ebony call earlier this year. Not an ounce of guilt either ;D
