Guilty
« on: November 15, 2011, 04:41:18 AM »
Guys/Gals I am totally guilty of working way too much and spending too much time in the woods as of late.  Many of you have contacted me and asked... where are you.. .are you alive...

Yes I am alive, but the next 6 months of my life will be insanely crazy...  Right now Nashville is not looking so good and neither is Spring Turkey season.

I average 90+ hours a week right now.  Been on the road almost all of November (and I very rarely ever leave main campus) and then deer season started!

I'm glad I have a job, but the work load has increased so much, I hardly have time to talk to my friends.  When I do get home, I'm so worn out I spend time with the son and wife and hit the sack...

Right now, I'm packing up and headed toward the MO/Iowa border to chase some big whitetails  *cheers*  I've never been a huge deer hunter, but so far it has been very very relaxing!

Only sad part of leaving is, my volleyball player starts work again today...  guess a person has to keep their prioirities  *lol*

I've already harvested a big fat doe for the freezer so now it's time to wait them out and try to grunt in a deer.  Weather is turning cold finally and it is about time!

I promise to try and be a better admin after season and I'm polishing up my resume right now.  Sometimes you just have to move on and find something better to do!

Porter, take some much needed time with your feet in the woods man, sounds like that's just the doctor ordered man. Enjoy your time and get away from all that work load for a while. Sorry to hear the comment about polishing up your resume if I read that right. Those sort od decisions are tough to make, but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. There is and needsmto be life away from work.
Good luck on the Iowa giants, hope ya drop the hammer on a great one.....that will give ya the feeling for sure
