Any one have a laser cutter Update! arrested!!!
« on: October 12, 2011, 02:57:14 PM »

Went to State Police tonight with all of my evidence from my 6day plotwatcher camera.  I had no idea what would come of it, but apparently I had the right trooper for the job.
After sharing all of my photos, and videos , maps.ect.  The Officer told me I had more than ample evidence to go and arrest the neighbor for criminal trespass.

After I went home, I received a phonecall from the young trooper telling me the guy admitted to EVERYTHING!!! Even taking a crap at the base of a stand.  He started out denying everything until the trooper showed him photos of himself stealing a posted sign. he even told him things I didn't even know about yet!

Unreal!!!   Criminal trespass, criminal mischief, property damage, intent to cause bodily harm and theft.  *up* *up* *up*
If anyone has any questions on the plot watchet camera PM me and I will share videos with ya.

goes to show, it's not always the one you suspect, it's usually the unsuspected one.

In Va, we can use a 8 X 8 square of silver spray paint as a poster. Anything like that, legal in your area?

Bill,

Im not sure if that would work.  One State trooper told me we had to have them signed, another one told me we didn't.   I put my signs 15 Feet high and they still tear them off.

I do have some good video of them trespassing now.  Can't wait to turn it in.   6 day plot watcher camera has been a big help to us!  would highly recommend it.

for $150 you can't go wrong.

Each state is different. I would check w/ your game warden to get the answer. Technically, in Va even if the land isn't posted they have to have verbal permission to be on the property. Painting the squares on trees is considered here, to be the same as signing a poster....which requires written permission to be on the person.

They may not be tearing them down. We found that if we nailed our signs tightly to trees that they would grow and pop them off in a couple of years. After learning this we left the nails a little loose to allow the tree to grow. We were using aluminum signs.

Gregg we have some nice stencils for sale locally that you can spray paint the signs on the trees . Tresspass laws vary alot . Here in Ohio , you must have written permission no matter what . Even if you are good friends with the landowner , if you don't have the written permission you will pay a fine . In Missouri , they paint large purple marks on the trees and it serves as a no tresppass sign . In WV , if the land isn't posted then anyone can hunt it . To enforce your no trespass rule , the signs must be no more than 50 feet apart . You have to be very careful still . My friend Peck Martin and his brother leased some land in WV and the locals who had always trespass hunted got mad about them leasing the land . One day while they were turkey hunting , Peck's brother was set up against a tree calling to birds when one of those trespassers shot him with a high power rifle in the chest . He died on the scene and was left to be found by Peck .  There are some terrible folks out there who don't respect boundaries at all .

Greg---ya need to check with the local wardens---those laws vary so much from stste to state. In Fla---its a felony to traspass---that will get attention of anyone---but it still happens.
If ya could get co operation from the sherrif and warden---to where you could apprehend them and charge them---word will get out from there its not a place to play around on.
They seem bold---be careful bud---dont get yourself into a dangerious situation !!!
If you have video of them---see if you can have a official make a official visit to the trasspassers.

not sure now but in Ga. the land owner had to sighn an aftidavit or they cant prosecute...it happened to us bout 5 yrs ago...we had written permision to rabbit hunt this piece...well the bordering property didnt have any signs or markings once you wer in the woods....we wound up cutting the beagles off to get ready for home and out pops 2 wardens. even though it wasnt posted where we could see it the had the affidavit and we got charge...but he was somewhat nice bout it...just give us a minor of being on the land of another....

Well Im gonna take what photos I have to the State Police this weekend.
The final straw was when they loosened a youth hunters steps and lockon stand ,and then when His father came over to investigate it, they discovered they had also taken a crap at base of stand.
I spoke with My buddy thats a State trooper in another county and he claims this is going to go under a "felony" of Intent to cause bodily harm and or death.  He thinks they will interview the folks we think are responsible.  Im hoping they don't take this lightly

Needless to say we are all well armed when we are in here.  Im hoping my plotwatcher may catch them.  I already have one guy on video.

wish us luck, its gonna be nasty.
