Reminder to not ever forget
« on: October 03, 2011, 03:19:52 AM »
Your arrows when you go bow hunting..  darn bow won't do you much good without your arrows tipped with your broad heads  *cry*

Saw 8 deer yesterday and couldn't do a darn thing...  arrows are packed today and looking forward to going out again.

I blame it on my wife  *peep*  She made me put my stuff away in my room and I forgot about them  *lol*

It was a beautiful morning and hope to see some deer again today!  No turkeys yesterday, but I didn't really go searching for them either!

When ya get older you need a check list.  And then don't forget to check it before you leave the house.

I heard you lost your call list one time. I have never forgot my arrow but i did forget to load my shotgun one time while turkey hunting. Lucky for me I saw no turkeys.

List, tying string around my finger, post it, even asking the kids & wife to remind me doesn't work, so the next best thing is to leave things in the truck......until that fails!   Then you may want to consider hobbies that do not involve sharp instruments.... *lol*

I gotcha beat Porter, I went hunting last year and left my 12ga BPS at the house and took my 20ga with some new buckshot.  My first and only chance ever at a albino doe, came within 30yards, missed! I will never leave home without my BPS, it's been the end for alot of deer! *stu*

LOL!

My wife and I were hunting Elk at Vermejo Park Ranch in New Mexico some years back and another fellow and his wife were also hunting. While at the range check our rifles, this couple showed up to sight in their guns. Both thought they were shooting the same guns. Hers was a 300 wim Mag. his was a 300 Whby mag. they had bought 300 Wim Mag. ammo for both. He couldn't understand why his rifle was having fired cases sticking in the chamber and why he wasn't able to sight it in. DUH! Luckily, I had some 300 Whby ammo!

Heck, I rode a bike 5 miles to a roosted gobbler one morning, only to discover that I'd left my GUN back at the van! Talk about feeling like an idiot!!!
