East of the Slash Harvest Bone Call
« on: September 28, 2011, 07:45:14 PM »
I just got this harvest bone call in the mail from Jeffrey Erb.  I cannot tell you how excited I am over this call.  Jeff did an outstanding job with a couple of bones that I sent him.  Birds that were special kills  East of the Slash on my friends woods we hunt.  A picture of the gobbler is attached.  I killed the hen one fall a good many years ago.  I love the sound of this call.  Jeff sent a great soundbite that he made with the call.  I now know what this call is suppose to sound like.  It is coming along, and hopefully I will be there be there soon.  Thanks Jeff!!!!

Good looking call there John.

Speaking of Jeff.....where is he? He's not listed in the members list. Did he delete his account or what?

Jeff, That bird and the one I killed the evening before are 2 of the most fun birds that I have taken East of the Slash.  I put a story on The Funny Place here on OR called Mississippi River Monarchs, and posted the story on that bird about 9/2010.  It is birds like those that make you keep going back every AM.

That call is special and Mr. Erb did an unbelievable job on it.  It will be with me on every hunt from now on, just like my old call.  Jeff has the ability to put into a call what makes one a killer.  He even showed me things about playing my own calls, to bring out different hidden turkey sounds.  It is not every day you run into a REAL turkey hunter that can encorporate killing qualities into a turkey call.  He has the talent to do that.

It is a shame he was locked out on here again.  I am glad I can call him a friend and super callmaker!!!!

All I said was it was a shame.  I wish authors of their own posts could remove them whenever they wish.  They cannot, I just tried.   Thread is ruined, so anyone that wishes can take it whereever they want and make any comments they wish.  I'm off of here.
