He said " And now all you have to do is fit a lid to it " LOL ! If you have the skill to recreate the boxcall that goes around that mould , then you can probably already build a call without using something so "hinky" ! I can already see his line of moulds coming out with Neil's dimensions next ! I hope for the sake of callmakers and future callmakers that noone buys into this kind of thing . If you want to learn to build a caller then cut up some wood and make one . Then keep making them til you get it right , don't "cheapen " the skilss needed to be a callmaker . Sorry for the rant , but this is hilarious !  *aah*

Ah Bob, A real callmaker already knows that thing is worthless. Anyone can measure and reproduce a call by measurements but tuning it is a whole different bag of tricks.
I'd say Ol'Frank is shak'in his head in disbelief.

I agree with David and Bob, cavity size is approximate, the sound of the call comes in the tuning stage.  All the secrets of tuning are after this stage.  I could list 20 factors after the routing stage.  Old man Stribling used to let students from the High School in Rosedale turn out boxes and paddles ---- Then he would match them up and start tuning them.  This must be a tool for low tech students that do not know how to drill a hole or where to put the hole!  *aah*

It is a Turpin Style --- not the other fellow's style, He just copied Turpin.
