Rain, rain and some more rain
« on: September 22, 2009, 09:45:07 AM »
I've been seeing on the news about all this flooding going on so first off... hope everyone is staying safe and dry out there.

I recently came back from Little Rock and they had rain 8 days straight... well now I'm back in MO and it's been raining practically every day.  We had a city flood over the weekend.  Reports are 12 to 20" of rain in a few hours.  Town looked like a river!!!

We needed the rain, but it's keeping me from planting my food plots :(

Guess it's better to have some rain than to be in a drought!  Hopefully this rain will get to those that need it badly!

we too have been getting hammered with rain.  it has let up for now, but it closed schools yesterday and today and there have been many tree's down and tons of standing water.

We've actually been having decent weather lately here in Pa. It seemed like all it did was rain this summer.

... and still some more rain ............

yep'r - the soggy stuff has had me shut down cold, as far as finishin' up on my plantin' - I had gotten about 9 or 10 acres of the odd shaped fields & strips done before "all heck" broke loose on me late last Wed afternoon ... :-\
... it was kinda' lookin' like I might be able to "get back after it" again today, since I hadn't had any rain after the 4.5" of pm poundings I got last Wed, Thurs, & Fri - it was dryin' up quite nicely 'round here ...  8)  8)

... but, 'ol Mother Nature & my weather station says NO WAY Jose' - got another 1.25" last night, so I'll be waitin' on it to dry up again, to get to that last 7 acres  ...  :-\

At least I've got somethin' to look forward to - have a friend headin' up here tonight, & he's bringin' up my best camp buddy Jr. (my big male Am Bull - spittin' image of, & named after his grampa Cowboy) ... RkLu
... Jr.'s usually always up here with me, but I left him home not realizin' how this years' preppin' & plantin' was gonna' drraaaaag on like it has - been stuck up here so long without him, I hope he still recognizes me ... ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO
