Billy Bob and Joe Bob just came through Greenville headed to Arkansas, but I told them John had gone down the river for a week or so.  Loaned them my 12 ft. Gehnoe and a paddle.  They said they were launching behind Harrah's here on the river in that old Toyota truck. --- Jeff, you want see those boys again.   First towboat wave in that boat and it will be all overwith.  I will pick my boat up at Mayersville, but they will never find Billy Bob and Joe Bob.

Kind of reminds me of a joke I heard once:
These ol' boys went over to Memphis and got drunk one night.    They were down on the riverfront and one of them saw a rowboat tied up to shore.  He got in it and started paddling...but he headed north against the current.  When dawn came, his friends were still partying on the riverbank and he was still out there in the middle of the river, still paddling away!  * hi *They yelled at him to come to shore and he asked himself, "Who the *@## do I know in New Orleans?"

 I was crossing over the Shenandoah River early this morning and saw two worn out fellas paddeling down the river towards DC. By the looks of those two (ears), I figured they were close realtives of the President and were looking for directions to get back home!  You sure they weren't born in Chicago??

They do have those "Obama ears," don't they, Bill?  They are Tennessee boys, though, for sure.  You can tell by the way they get all bumfuzzled once they cross over the state line! Did you happen to notice if one of 'em was still wearing my watch?

The guy in the back of the boat had both hands in the water, paddeling. The one in the front was pointing down stream, I guess he was the the captain of the craft and telling the other one that they were heading west.    No watch on the captain, hope it was a Timex. they take a licking and keep on ticking!

Had to be buck-an-ears Bill.  Had a friend call me that they pulled my boat up on a sandbar at Duncansby Towhead about 28 miles downriver.  Said that Lee had let up a little bit and they were dove hunting a willow flat where the doves like to roost.  It was just before dark and they thought they saw what they thought was a couple of wild hogs with big ears scampering up the other side of the river into Ark.   Had to be those buck-an-ears pirates Bill Bob and Joe Bob.  The woods down there are big and wide.  They will spend the night in there for sure.
