I have put in way too many hours this summer. 83 hours last week in 5 days. I called ole Ferguson half way through and said, buddy I need to come and visit you. He said come on down and boy was that the medicine I needed! Always enjoy getting down to Eminence and we sat around working on turkey calls and I laughed at him working with a new wood. When it hit the saws, I could tell it was a tough one and sure enough, it was. It was nice to see him try some other woods and I've enjoyed watching him learn and change his methods.
Ole David even took me over and they fired up their saw mill and I got to watch that first hand. Had the pleasure of meeting David's dad too! Took my son down there and what a fun time he had. On the way back he asked, when will we be going back down!
On Friday, while driving home from no sleep, my parents called and asked if I was home. I said heck no hadn't made it there yet. Up the road from us, a Bull Hauler fell asleep and took out one of our milk trucks

They thought everything was ok, but they wanted me to go check on the driver. By the time I got to the accident, they had already moved the milk truck, but I knew from the looks of the bull hauler's truck, he took a heck of a hit...
Here's a pic of what we are all assuming is a totaled Freightliner

Luckily no one was hurt, but 1/3 of the load of steers were killed in this accident....
