M2 (M Squared) Calls By Adam Mims

MY name is Mike Mims. My son Adam Mims is the Friction Pot Call builder. Along with my oldest son Scott we are together trying to offer some "hunting calls" on a very limited basis. This is a hobby for Adam. He started about 7 months ago has been learning the turning do and do not's. I am unable to work in the shop any longer so I offer advice and help when I can. Adam and Scott are in the Disaster Mitigation business in Anniston Alabama and with small children time is important and very scarce. I am a 54 year old diabled Minister that grew up in the construction and woodworking business and live in Bowdon GA. Adam is 27 and lives in Tallapossa Georgia. Scott is 30 and lives in Anniston Alabama. Scott has turned a call and it is a great call, but he wants to learn to build boxes. They both want this to stay fun so it will be very limited. They are avid Turkey hunters as was I for most of my life and they know what a wild turkey sounds like. I want to acknowledge that without the help of Al & Josh at SS, Daryl at Slaton Custom Calls, Wendell Rye of Lights Out, Richard at Ozark Custom Calls, Ed Jenkins and many more giving advice this would have been a lot more difficult. They are still learning. But one thing for sure these two will do anything possible to make you a happy customer. (read their Business Creed at mimscoinc.com) It's who they are as people!
Competing with other call makers is not a goal. Having fun in a shop and producing a handful of calls a year that kill turkeys is the goal Oh yeah and making friends as we go.
I am including a picture of the 3 of us with my grandsons Mason in my lap 2 1/2 (Adam's oldest), Beau (Scott's son) 9 months Who Scott is holding behind me and Maddox (Adam's baby) who is 8 weeks old being held by Adam squatting next to me. Who along with my wife of 35 years Karen and daughter in laws Kasie (Adam's wife) and Alyson (Scott's wife) are my call in life. That is the most important call of all. I hope you enjoy. I've got two calls from Mike and Adam so far . A glass pot  and a copper pot. Both sound and look great..

I was privledged to recieve this call & strikers from the M2 boys. It looks wonderful and is chocked full of turkey! Custom made to fit perfectly in my vest. This call will be used opening weekend for fall turkey season.

That's a wonderful story and you have a beautiful family Sir. I love working in the shop with my dad when I can. He is a custom furnature/cabinet maker and I work at U.S.P. Canaan ( a federal prison in northeastern PA) so time between us is limited as well. Good luck in the future and I look forward to seeing the website. Jeff
