After I built the tree caller for Brent , I came up with an idea for one that I wanted to make for hunting with . So here is the Shady Tree Caller . It makes those soft sounds needed for early morning calling when the birds are still on the roost . I am very satisfied with the sound and am looking forward to using one this spring .
This one is headed south to my good friend , Jeff McKamey . I chose to send #1 to Jeff because I know he will use a tree caller alot, and I know he can call very good on one . The first few people who get them will hopefully give me some good feedback on the caller. This one is made from big leaf maple burl , tiger maple, walnut , mahogany and osage . I am making some of them with a glass soundboard also . This will give it a nice raspy break for louder calling . I hope this caller leads to the demise of many longbeards next season my friend !
