I saw this combination that Don had in a one sider at the Nationals that I wanted really bad,,,but...some guy was determined to bid and bid and bid---he ended up with that one. Got me a fine Persimmon them from Don,but I didnt forget about that one sider combo and the way it sounded to my ear. This is a Cedar body that is the color of walnut. Story is that it came from a Rail Road bridge piling driven deep into the ground in 1887. How Don came about this unique looking cedar I will never know---but I am glad he did. He matched this sweet box up with Chinkapin for the lid and base. IT has the destinctive Clark It diamond pattern and a finishing touch by Dons best half Sarah on the lid. Man can she burn and talk about detail. Don, would ya freelance Sarah's woodburning to a ole hillbilly from Tennessee ----I wish I had half the talent she does.
