hard but good
« on: August 07, 2011, 09:33:27 PM »
Man I had a very tough weekend but the pay off should be fun. I have a little work ahead of me.

These were about 48 - 55 inch in the ground. Ran unon Mr Jakes daddy he was standing guard he was as big around as a beer bottle and about 4 foot long. Almost give me a heart attack. After having a talk with him and A LOT of work this is what I came up with.

This picture is of a scrap piece 51 Inches up. There is alot of Green in these post. Should be fun. I'm thinking Silver Ferrule and Water Buffalo should look just fine.

That is correct those are Mud Cured Osage fence post which have not seen the sun in over a 100 years.  As best as I can tell spme of it is so green it's almost black but of course its still wet. Most of them were atleast 4 feet in the ground and should make some fine calls.  These came out of a swampy area and them cotton mouths weren't happy about me being in there.  Man those are some kind of mean snakes. They don't give
