Bulldogmikey's Devotionals
« on: July 15, 2011, 09:32:47 PM »
I wanted to let you know about some changes coming up.  Adam and I have been talking and I have asked Adam to post a few items in the Devotionals (some of the ones he's posted in General and one that he will get posted later) in memory of Mike.  While talking to Adam, we talked about him posting from time to time in the devotionals under his dad's username many Devotionals that Adam has found that Mike wrote.   He and I felt they deserve to be posted under Mike's username.  Many of you have commented to me how you will miss them.  Although Mike is looking down upon us, he still wrote these and I appreciate Adam taking the time to do this and share some writings of his that we have never seen!

I'm working on a way to archive what Mike posted himself and not bump all of his to the bottom.

In one way, this is a way for me to never remember what Mike meant to me and for many of us to enjoy more of his work.

Many have said, his devotionals have helped us get by day to day.

As I stated earlier, the Devotionals will never go away!

As Porter said, dad kept all of his old sermons and devotionals dating back to his days as a deacon in the early 80's. It takes a while for me to break his sermons down into a devotional format. They won't be as frequent but I'll try my best to post as many as possible. Looking at all the files it will take a few years for me to run out of them.  I'll try my best to keep it strictly his thoughts, but it is difficult going by a sermon out line when you are not a preacher and not fimilar with that format.

I posted one a few minutes ago that was partly his thoughts and largely what I spoke about at his funeral. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm glad to hear this, Thanks. As I have gone through daily struggles during my time here on The Roost, Mike's devotionals helped. I am glad I reached out to him to Thank him and to tell him he helped me.

If there is anyone you've been meaning to thank, forgive, or tell 'em you love 'em, take time and do it.

As the old quote goes, "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world"
