All Walnut Checkered Boxcall from ShadeTree Callers

 Here is an all walnut box that I completed recently . This caller is made from antique black walnut that was salvaged from a hayrack built by Jim Wallace on his farm near Eminence Missouri . Jim cut the tree down back in the 1930's and used it for several projects including a hayrack for his cattle. Imagine using awesome walnut like this for farm construction today ! The wood was given to me by Walter Winterbottom's step-son Jim Chilton . Jim salvaged the wood several years ago from the old hayrack after the farm was sold .  I built this one without any inlays because I liked this wood so much it didn't need any extras . It has that classic walnut/walnut sound that I love and I hope it will see many hunts with me ! Thanks for taking a look !

You know, I read enough of Jeff's posts now, I understand what he actually is trying to say.  I think Porter should , if possible, add spell check only to Jeff's account.  Just so the rest of the Yankees have a clue ROTFLMBO
