My brother gave me this piece of material this past weekend. It was Maroon and Black in color on the outside but when I turned it this is what it came out as. Beats me on the color difference.  Here is the first acrylic trumpet I have ever built.  It was interesting to say the least.

Pretty trumpet!  I've never built a trumpet out of acrylic but I have worked with it and I enjoy turning it.

It turned easy enough but a pain to sand out. I seen a duck call maker at Reelfoot us heat to finish a duck call but that was not for a first timer.  *lol*
