Wanted to share something my dad once wrote (bulldogmikey)
« on: July 06, 2011, 09:07:22 AM »
John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

As I sit here this morning, I am so tired. There are times I am confused There are times I am afraid. There are times the pain is almost unbearable. I ask the question Why? I fight the human responses of anger, fear, despair. I throw myself an occasional pity party about all that I "cant" do. You see I am human. You will never meet a man more sure of his Divine Calling than I am. Not boastful but humbly recognizing that God chose me to be a special ambassador! But none the less I am human. But I seem to always get a tender touch of his hand, reminding me I am not alone. Oh I pray for healing, but I also pray that regardless, God be Glorified.
I shared this with you to let you know, we all struggle. I am not ashamed to share that. I would be if I didn't realize how much I am blessed. How much God loves me. That he has suffered far more than I ever have or will. John 16:33 is a source of comfort. "take heart! I have overcome the world!"
If you find yourself in one of my places, meditate on this verse and remember, you are not alone! Praise God Almighty!

Bro Mike

Adam,

Your dad is a very special man and continues to touch people each and every day! I agree with the previous post - things are in the hands of the Lord now, which is how your dad wanted it. My prayers go out to you and your dad's entire family! Take care...
