Ok guys, the opinions here are strickly my own and do not reflect those of this website, the advertisers or any of the members unless soley expressed on their own. This also includes the man formerly known as "Porter"

I like the gun....

The 3" chamber gun is a little smaller and fits very nicely compared to my Extrema 2. I never used 3.5" shells in my Extrema2 so why spend the extra $ if I dont shoot them (sorry 3.5" men). They have some shims so you can add cast to the stock and spacers for length of pull. This really helped the fit. For what ever reason the gun mounts very easy for me. maybe the thinner stock helps as well. When I first shot the gun at Sumtoy's shop in GA, we noticed the POI/POA was off. It was high and left at 50' with #9 shot. Another customer at his shop had the same gun and it shot POI/POA. Well sent the gun to Browning and it came back from Browning in less than 3 weeks including shipping. They also worked on the trigger since it had alot of creep, travel and was heavy. Probably picky on my part since I am use to a benchrest rifle trigger. Either way, they treated me well and its just part of the process to getting the gun to shoot right.
I have not shot it much but
really like the gun compared to my Berettas or Benellis. It is light, shoulders quickly, has less recoil with hevi 3/2/6 and just has a nice overall feel. Maybe the backbored feature helps with recoil along with being gas operated? The only complaint is the magazine cutoff lever on the lower left side of the receiver. The lever sticks out and can be accidentially pulled back if you (me) are not careful in the dark. When you try to insert a shell into the magazine with the lever pulled back, it jams and can be very difficult to remove the shell. In fact, my shell was so jammed i had to pry it out (not safe). Definetly operator error on my part as I got use to the new gun. My extrema 2 has a recessed magazine cutoff lever which prevents this problem. Overall, I am not dissappointed in my purchase and should be very happy once i get the chokes all figured out. Also, Would not get anything less than a 26" barrel based on my years of experience. Better sight picture and patterning....
Oh well, just my .02 cents. And I wont even ask for a refund.
