Planning a turkey hunt spring 2012. Where to go?
« on: May 15, 2011, 05:28:42 PM »
I want to take a trip and hunt turkeys next spring and would like some suggestions. I hunt in Indiana and Kentucky each year. Maybe a different species.
Not sure if I want to self guide public land or pay and outfitter. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave

I'm debating myself, I'm thinking about chasing Rios or Merriams.

If there was enough interest and an agreeable location I'd love to get a group of Roost members together for a hunt somewhere.  By planning early we have the benefit of a lot of choices..

I have been pondering the exact same thing so I am curious to see where this points to.

This would be fun.  Daryl and I have been going to Kansas for 3 years now and that is a great state to chase some Rios!!!!

Merriams is a big dream of mine and I think after next year, I'll go chase them for a bit :)

A big Roost gathering slaughtering some birds... that would be fun!
