What we will do to get to turkeys......
was talking to Porter the other day about high water and it reminded me of a place I used to hunt in Georgia...had to dig this ole pic out and share it. There was only one way to get into this properity due to the deep and wide creek other than climbing a mountain from the far side that took way too much time..... not to mention the effort. You will see it is some 10-12" up in the air suspended---2 cables---a true "SOUTHER STYLE CREEK CROSSING" !!!! also-the white pole is only the half way point---the other fork in the creek is not in the picture. My first trac across this suspended wire was nerve wrecking as the water was running wild. You always sling your vest and gun on only one arm just in case you fall and have to ditch them for survival !!!!
Alos---take notice of the SNAKEBOOTS !!!!  ;D
oh--what we will do to get to good turkey ground !!!!

I'd do it, as long as I could hear him gobbling!!! I had to change clothes this morning after jumping into a little creek, glad it was warm today!

Man, that aint right......

I have crossed creeks with my gun over my head and wallet out of my pants with water up to my armpits. But I have never done any acrobatics over a creek.
