Callmakers in "Turkey country" magazine

Each year I watch the press given to winning call makers in the NWTF magazine decrease.  No photos of the guys who worked hard to put them together and few photos of the calls.  Am I missing something?

It's just another reason why I stopped entering calls!! The only thing the NWTF thinks about the call makers is how can we squeeze more money out out them!!! A few years ago the NWTF sent out questioniers asking call makers how they can improve the competitions. I thought at that time they cared about us!! NOT!!!! Until things change they will get  *poo* from me!! No membership fee's, no call entery fee's, ect. ect. ect.!!! They are a F@#&%ing joke!!!

I've checked the NWTF website a couple times and they didn't even give a full list of winners in all of the categories, only the Best of Class and above.  According to my tally of the live auction, and I missed a couple of the last calls, they made $24,000 to $25,000 off the live auction alone.  The least they could do is publish a list of all the 1st through honorable mentions for each category, and some decent photos of some of the top winners.

Well slap my mama, I just got my Turkey Country magazine and they did publish winners from 1st through 3rd place for all of the categories, working and decorative as well as all the top winners.  However, not many pictures of calls or call makers.  One step at a time I guess.  They still only have best of class and up posted on the website.

Never much coverage in the past....about the same now. I got better coverage from a local newspaper than the NWTF did for all the makers. It's a shame for all that did so well that they only showed 3 places. Change and hope
Runs about the same way here as it does in politics  *peep*  ???

They won't get another dime from me.  After being a sponser at the first banquet I went to and saw how the majority of the folks were treated they completly turned me against their "tactics".

I wrote to the magazine to see if they are going to do any additional articles on the call making contest.  Now waiting for an answer.
