We just pulled in to our little place here in WV. Taking the son out tomorrow for youth day. This will be his first time hunting turkey. I hoping he can bag himself one, but we will have to wait and see. Also planning to do some trout fishing and ramp digging. I will post some pics when we get back.

 Oh man look out ! The ramps are up ! Have you ever been to the ramp festival in WV ? You can hardly stand to be around some of those people , the smell permeates your body if you eat enough of 'em !!

Here he is in the woods! We did not see or hear a thing and made it back to the truck just as the rain started, but we had a blast. Did a little fishing, but we will be doing a lot more tomorrow. Local sportshop wants to put some of my calls in their store next spring which is awesome. Monday is opening day, so I will be squeezing a little hunting in before heading home.

There are folks selling ramps along the roads everywhere up here. Ramps and fried tatters. The bad thing is that ramps are getting famous and are getting harder to find every year. There are chefs in New York city after our ramps.
