Psalm 73:13-14 "13 Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and have washed my hands in innocence. 14 All day long I have been afflicted, and every morning brings new punishments."
Here is the Question that must be asked! Can you trust God completely, even when you do not understand His ways?
Think about one way God answers this question...
Isaiah 55:8-9 8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. 9 As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
But does that offer any comfort or relief?
This week the church celebrates Easter, the literal – not figurative – resurrection of Jesus from death. That glorious, life-giving miracle followed the most severe and grievous injustice ever done to the innocent.
This event alone sheds light on the true answer to our question..."why do the evil prosper and the righteous suffer?"
God is God even though you do not understand at the moment; His character is righteous, His wisdom is unquestioned, and His love has no limits.
Ask God for faith, He gives faith to persevere, to comfort. There is good and evil in this world. I had rather suffer for good than prosper in evil!
