Thanks for all the kind words from everyone . I built this caller from butternut sent to me by Chris Kirby , president of Quaker Boy calls . I topped it off with a piece of uniquely stained canarywood . The outside of this board was discolored to a purplish hew that I am calling mystery stain because I'm unsure of what caused it . I have never seen a piece like it before and I assume that it came in contact with something in the atmosphere that stained it . I made a very slight change to my caller recently and this is the first one to go out . I am very pleased with the change and I will wait to see how the turkeys like it !
