IMHO, this was the worst championship game I've ever seen.
Horrible shot selections & %'s, I don't think the refs were very consistent and let way too much slide. I understand that UConn's players may have a height advantage but that doesn't mean that when they go over the back it's not a foul. I can't stand how they let players palm the ball on the dribble, HE'S TRAVELING!!!

More and more NCAA is becoming like NBA- it's not real basketball. Guess I better start watching womens ncaa & high school bball  *wha*

I didn't have a dog in the fight but I think this would've been a different game if the refs would call fouls when they are committed. I noticed that was a theme throughout the tournament.

Ok, I'm done ranting  ;D

You are correct about college basketball referees not following the rules! That is why I lost interest in the game and seldom watch anymore.  Problem is that high school basketball is becoming the same! *aah*

I enjoyed the fact that the refs "let em play" last night. It was a horrible game but it was a very physical game from start to finish. I hope all the proponents of a playoff in D1 football were watching close last night. This is exactly what will happen if football goes the playoff route. The best team in the country did not win. The best/luckiest team over the course of 5 games won.

I will agree to that!

It's all about being hot at the right time, good for UCONN! I like UNC, but they got beat by a hot shooting Kentucky team, that's what makes it March Madness!

The national championship in basketball is not about the best most consistent team over the course of a season. It's about who gets hot and gets the lucky breaks. I'm sorry but March Madness rarely crowns the best team. It crowns the hottest team. Your talking about a 5 game season. 5 games is nothing. The regular season is worthless except for who gets what seed. If UCONN played UNC, Kansas, Pitt, 2 out 3 they would loose 6 of them. They won the tournament and in the current format they deserve it, but it is a joke to call them the best team in the country. Best tournament team in the country, maybe.

Would love to see a round robin (best of 3) of the sweet 16 teams  RkLu
