Red Hot down in Texas!!
« on: April 02, 2011, 06:57:59 PM »
The hunter asked for something with plenty of rasp...well this Honduras Mahogany box and Padauk lid can really bark nasty, but it can also get soft and sutlry to help close the deal with some smooth purrs. Padauk lid over a wormy Mahogany box set on a Padauk base. The lid has Mahagonay inlays and the wood-burning sports a fern, a trillium flower and a white oak leave pair with acorns. The Mahogany really picked up the reddish hues in the Padauk and I know I'll be making more of this design. This call is headed to Texas to fire up some of those red hot Rios! Thanks for looking everyone.  As you can see I am still doing the final finish--the blue painters tape can be seen on the rails.

Thanks everyone...I think I can just about see the bones in my fingers as I am wearing away all the skin *aah* *cry* on these final spring orders.  I also think I am about to drive my family clear out of the house with all the tuning I am doing...I am called the squawk man--if I didn't know better they don't appreciate a beautiful and sexy sounding hen when they hear one ROTFLMBO.  My wife really likes the woodburning however, she wants me to do pretty flowers and cute bugs ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO...yeah right...that's gonna happen...NOT!!
