Favorite striker wood....

Favorite striker wood for:
 
      Slate: Persimmon & Bocote
      Glass: Hickory & Babinga
      Copper: African black wood  & Bocote
     Aluminum: Red oak, walnut, & bloodwood
     Ceramic:  ???? Don't own one!!

I've found that my ceramic likes maple, hickory, & canary
The one striker I have that will play anything is one I got from Steve (West Augusta) a killer red oak!

Ive got an old fat lighter peg I made years ago,that I like,and use A lot.....I also like walnut,and cherry.

fiberglass? never heard of that. If a person is allergic to fiberglass should he not try a fiberglass striker?

If it's finished with a paint job I'm ok, but if it's raw.... not fun  *wha*

Black Locust,Bocote,Yellow Heart,Osage,Purple Heart, Wenge and Dymondwood. I carry at least 4 with me most times because yea never know.  I almost forgot Ebony. Awesome on glass.  Bill
