Unusual Bird

A friend of mine from UT came to hunt with me in GA a few years back.  His son took his first gobbler and it had a single black feather in each wing.  I havent seen another one since..

I've been told a turkey will mate with anything it can.  Crow or Buzzard?  Who knows.
That is a cool picture.  Haven't personally seen it, just in pictures.

I have killed a few on my place like that... They always have light colored feet, in my experience... Was told it was a melanin deficiency...

Here's one from 2 years ago, he had matching black on either side... He was a hard headed, long spurred field turkey! He was a headache for over
a week...

I see that once er twice a year on the Forums. Twice already this year.

Spur, Alec has called up two more kills with the box since this was posted.  One was his, and another for his boss on his land.

He also shot these pictures the other day and I quote"instead of the camera. In all actuality, I get the same joy from shooting them with the camera as I do with the twice barrel. 

I had this guy at 10 yards at one point strutting, but couldn't move the camera to get pictures of it. I also had him gobbling at 15 yards but, again, couldn't move. One day it's all gonna come together and I will get pictures of him strutting and gobbling, but until then, I am very content getting pictures like this."

I've never seen one like that, but it's a great bird and awesome picture there!!!
