its time---headed south early Monday

Well---that time we all wait for so anxiously is getting really close for me---headed to Alabama to start the season off. Used to have a prestine huge piece of turkey ground until the timber buisness took the habitat. Still some birds there but no where near what used to be *gobble* *cry*. I have hunted this area for 15 years or more and know it and the birds well. Its a shame to slowly see a piece of SACRED GROUND go to the dogs so to speak. This in my 3rd year hunting the place when I know I need to relocate to a different area totally.
Its a sad loss and one I have realized but just cannot break to tie I have to the fine family there I have such a relationship with....but its changed totally. Hard to accept, but this will probablly be the last season I will be there. So sad the habitat has changed from prestine turkey woods....to BRIAR rabbitt country *cry* *cry* *cry* *cry*

 *lol* *lol* *lol* Ole knee pads giving in to a few briars. Turkeys will die Tuesday but Jeff you may only get to hear the blast. Trust me I do feel your pain. One of our Deer hunters plowed under two good food plots the other day. See ya in LA. Good luck!

Good luck Jeff! It is sad to see good hunting areas destroyed, everything changes and sometimes unfortunately not for the better in terms of supporting wildlife. Hope you find some new places nearby!

May be a fast trip----just got informed that the family leaves for Jacksonville this friday---=they come home on the 24th from a competation----thats the day I leave for Florida----there is not telling how many days I will be there. A 2 week stint without the kids---gonna be hard on me to not see them in that long !!!

zum----I got a quiet motor put on the walker-----boy am I gonna get around----to where ever it is that i'm going ??? ???---heck---aint even gonna need the knee pads this time.
Hope the sweet smellof nitro permeates the LA air tuesday !!!!
