Matt, permethrin is the active chemical..put on clothes ONLY and dry completely before wearing..ticks and redbugs  won't make it more than a few inches crawling on it...it is used to treat livestock for external parasites...don't know what the adverse affect on humans is, if any. Be sure to treat any seat cushion as well as boots and hat...ticks are a thing of the past if you use it according to directions. Some outlets have quit carrying it because of people not reading directions and putting it on bare skin like regular bug juice.

That's the stuff you want, right there.  Spray it on, let the clothes air dry for a few hours and it lasts for days and days.  Ticks will fall off your clothes, literally.  Do a google search about it, its the only thing the military uses.

I worked for 7 years in the Pest Control industry. This stuff can be very bad if you don't follow the directions! Please let it dry before putting it on or you WILL become very sick and it could prove costly 

It works great but treat it like a table saw- use with caution
