One for the Vest, and Book.
« on: February 28, 2011, 03:17:40 PM »
Mr. Eddleman has blessed me with this Fine Caller, the provanace behind the call, is very nice as well.

Let's get to the Sound, playability, of this Caller.

I have been wanting a turpin styled Box caller, the sound is somewhat unique to that style of call, and this is no exception.
I have been playing this call for 2 day's, non-stop, and have already placed it, into my Vest. It will hunt the Spring season with me.

John, thank you for making this box, I hope the word spreads quickly on these box's of your's, they are One fine Box, and shall be the demise of many Old Gobblers I am sure.

This caller Plays exceptionally easy, I have heard many things of this type of call, I play it no differently, just a slight angle on the Paddle, it is balanced, and naturally goes/falls to that angle if held properly.

You can crank it up, or tone this Box down so soft, it will amaze you. One fine call.

Yee-Awwk, is an understatement, 2 note Yelp, w/o a doubt, Harsh and raspy, or soft and mellow, this box, is all Turkee Bird, and gives one confidense before the Hunt, that alone to a hunter is worth it's weight in gold.

I have all the confidense in this call already, and shall harvest birds with this caller.

So I say to ya'll, ifin U want a goodun, Give Mr. Eddleman a Call, he shall deliver.

Mr. Eddleman, I thank You.  8)

Congratulations on a killer and a special piece of walnut! You are right...one of the most realistic turkey calls you will ever play! The boys love theirs. Absolutly a GREAT CALL.
Congrats Spur and John!

That one looks like it came from the same wood John used for the call he entered in Nashville. I can attest about how well that call plays. Mine will be in my vest all this Spring.
Congrats on getting a fine call from one fine gentleman.  *up* *up* *up* *up* *up* *up*

Thanks Guys!  You have a keen eye for detail Bill.  That was the same end piece of Whiskey Island walnut Mr. Wineman gave to make one of the two calls for the Nationals.   The very end piece I looked at last night to see if a box could be made. It has some sapwood with worm holes running in.  I will just have to cut her out and take a look at it.

I forgot to include the disclaimer for using the call in this years turkey contest - so yall have fun and put that call on top of any you kill this year and send me the pictures.

Thanks Jeff!
