How much effect do you think the lunar phases and barametric pressure has on gobbling activity in the spring?

I was watching a hunting show last night and if I remember correctly, they said that if the barometric pressure is 29.37" and rising the birds will gobble.  Below that number and the birds will not gobble on a consistant basis.  Not sure if it's scientific fact or not.

            I spoke with a turkey killing machine this week. We chatted about these two items of interest. He quoted pretty much the same pressure level you did and said almost the same thing.....

          This gent told me, that the moon has a huge effect on gobbling or lack there of....

          I was interesated if anyone on here knew or noticed  these efforts....

If it's a full moon the turkeys wont gobble in the morning because they've been up all night trying to keep from being eaten. Therefore they are too tired to gobble.

 Roosted many a gobbler on the evening of a full moon only to find they have moved up to 300 yds by the next morning. Never had the full moon keep them from gobbling though.

That's a good one!!! It effect the deer.. Is that why on some days in Pa you only hear blackbirds..
and you get sore feet.

I think it has to,....been trying to link certain things together for awhile now and nothing seems to fit,....the one thing that i have noticed though is that in a drastic change of temps from hot to cold or from cold to hot,....it seems to take them a day to get used to it before they do alot of talking again,,..hens or gobblers.  I know in florida, we usually do better on a cooler damp morning, then we do on a dry hot morning.    I was out with a flock this morning and they were gobbling and yelping like crazy all morning,....it was 29 degrees.    Anxious to take my camera tomorrow and see if i can get some good pics.

I have watched turkey behavior in regards to the barometer for quite a while and have always found turkeys to be more active on a rising barometer and will slow down on a falling barometer.

Here in Pa the next two months they will be gobbling their heads off, but in warm and hot days of May nothing...

How about a combination of both, plus the pressure received from hunters???
