Mark, thank you so much for the kind words about Cody. He is a 12 year old outdoorsman that loves it all. He developed his sales pitch on Saturday by standing and listening to all the pro staffers then customizing his own from what he liked about everybody else. I was curious to see how he handled the rejection from people that wouldn't even acknowledge he was trying to get their attention for a demo, but it didn't even phase him. He really understands the percentages of sales and success. When he got home from school yesterday I showed him your post, and you could see the pride in his face that you recognized his hard work and effort. He remembered you also, he knew your name and where you were from and the exact call you purchased from him. He actually sold several on Sunday. He has a real good knowledge of the DCC calls because he goes with me and his older brothers to help build calls almost every night. All the guys at DCC have taken Cody in and treat him like their own. Good luck with your new DCC call, and every time your kneeling over a big long beard you just took with that call just think in the back of your mind how lucky you were to give "the little salesman from DCC" a chance to strut his stuff. Thanks again Mark, and if you get in Ky during season and want to hunt with Cody and me just get with DCC and they will give you my contact info.
Good luck, Dave French
Thanks Dave. Believe me the pleasure was all mine. I knew as soon as he started, I wasn't going to leave there without one, regardless of how they sounded. As much effort as he put into it. As a matter of fact, I left a reputable callmaker's booth earlier that day vowing never to buy a call from him because he never asked if he could help me, never asked how I was doing or anything of the kind. He just turned to carry on a conversation with someone else in the booth. In fact his intentions where to walk off, but did not have anyone to watch his calls. That is one fella that won't even get a recommendation on his calls from me. So Cody, keep up the good work buddy. And Dave, you keep up the good work also. You must be doing something right. And thanks for the invite.

Mark

Zumer, thank you for the compliment. Actually I have been blessed to have two more boys like Cody that I'am really proud of too. We all love to hunt, fish, and anything else in the outdoors together. I've always agreed with the bumper sticker I saw years ago that reads " if you hunt WITH your kids, you don't have to hunt FOR your kids"
Unfortunately, I think a lot of families have lost site of that concept. But, thanks again for your compliment and have a great season !

Very impressive for the little guy to handle himself the way he did. That only comes from great parenting and I believe Cody's got a bright future ahead of him.
