Ended up with a couple callers from the show from 2 great people.
I set a goal of coming home this year with a call from this maker and I got it. It is a Charlie Parrish Hen box in Alaskan Yellow Cedar and cocobola. Definately took me some practice to get the hang of a Turpin but once I got it they make some sweet turkey talk. Was a pleasure to meet you Charlie, my son will be taking this call to the woods someday.
I also got one of Charlie's scratchers too, nothin but a turkey in a box.
Next is a special call that I traded one of my aluminum calls for made by Mr. Scotty Maddux. As alot of you know Purdue University holds a special place in my heart so I wanted Scotty to do what he does an awesome job at, picture calls with his tobacco lid bottom. I love this call! The tin lid on the bottom gives this caller a different tone that makes this caller ring out. I appreciate you making this caller Scotty and also for the time you put into making a great calendar. The pot is made out of tigerwood.
