2011 NWTF Convention
« on: February 19, 2011, 11:17:32 PM »
Has come and gone for me.  Getting ready to hit the sack and make the long trip home tomorrow.  Going to catch up on some sleep and hit the road in my new ride tomorrow (Sorry Special K not the short bus :) ).

I wish everyone could have been there.  It was a blast and I got to meet several new people.  I didn't get to see everyone, but a lot of fun was had by many!

First off... gotta thank my buddy Larry... I mean Daryl.   Buddy thanks for all you and your family have done for me this week.  It's been a real treat!

To everyone else I was with and hung out with, thanks for taking the time to track me down.  I started to list everyone, but we met a lot of people!  I'm tired, so I might miss some names, but I was able to finally meet Bullock, 3CB, JLC, msharpe, Shadow Turkey Call, Hobie, Jake St John, BKA, Richard Hudson, and I know I missed several (so I apologize).

To all the Roosters that we hung out with regularly, I appreciate all your support and it was a joy to see all the fine call makers that support this site do so well!  Whether it was placing in competitions or just selling a great product to the public, Thanks.  I wish I could have spent more time with everyone.  Daryl kept me pretty busy in his booth.

I'm still trying to figure out if Al, Daryl, Scotty or Ed is the funniest.  I think the waitress tonight threw me a curveball.  She out witted ole Al.  Never seen Al speechless  *lol*

We are already working on some major ideas for next years convention!!!

Heck we even had some fun with the Sunny Side boys!  Special K was helping a few Osage Roost Call Makers sell some calls.  Even shook his hand and gave him a surprise call to make sure he made it home...   ROTFLMBO  Was a little disappointed he wouldn't sell me his limited edition Osage Roost call though.  I'll admit, it was a clever idea and funny to boot.  We already have a plan to one up them next year!  They gave us a lot of free advertising  *lol*

I cannot wait to hear cOx's side of the story.  Not sure they ever saw the Flip camera recording it all  *lol* *lol*  Look for a great video to hit the stores soon!!!  His photographer came close to busting the person, but looking over the video, you can tell they had no idea!!!  Never go to a gun fight unprepared!!!  I will admit, I did also like the look on pac's face when I told him MO said he missed him on the Bull.  That was priceless...   ROTFLMBO ROTFLMBO  The texting I was doing, was telling them to get rolling on you guys immediately :)

Thanks for everyone making this a great convention and look forward to 2012 already!!!  For those still there, have a blast tomorrow!

Had a great time guys. Got to meet a few of you and it was a pleasure to hang out with ya'll. Look forward to seeing you guys again next year.
Thanks Al and Josh for the great sounding boxes and scratchers. Picked up a sweet sounding yelper from Richard Hudson and Matt McLain.

Gun fights and showdowns? Man, I've got to get caught up on this feud, if there is one.  Porter, ole Kenny brought be over for an introduction and you should have filled me in then or at the roost.  ::)   ;)

Anyway, good to put a put a face with a name.  You didn't seem like too bad of a fella.   *up*   Heck, I even got to meet ole Charlie.  Make sure you send me a copy of that video, cause the funniest thing I saw all weekend was when Pack mistook Steve Lumma for you.  I've never seen a kid more offended . . .  *lol*

Lee

P.S.  I like all these emoticons you have.

Lee you were pretty cool yourself!  I didn't mean to offend you, just figured you to be older than me... Pretty sure you are younger :)

I'd been upset if I were Steve too...  I hang around the ugly crowd  *lol*  I wish I could have seen that...

Gunfights comment was something my grandaddy always said, but I had heard I'd be tracked down.  I was prepared for that, just not the creativeness of K  *peep*

We all had a lot of fun and that's what it is all about.  I would have went out to dinner with you guys if we hadn't already made plans.

I was just disappointed K wouldn't let me drive that call around  *cry*

Steve him mixing me and you up... well that pretty much answers what I thought  *lol*  Heck he'd even seen me earlier and I went up and gave him a message...

Maybe I should take that as a compliment him calling you me!!!   ROTFLMBO
