How long have you had that unknown wood? It looks a lot like the pecan from Doug's woodpile that I made a couple of boxed out of. Did I  give you a piece at Cal's crayfish boil or send you a piece about that time and it got put away?

             I got a year or so ago. I am leaning toward believing it is pecan. The only thing itsnt not real dense.

I didnt get any of it of the stuff from Doug. It doesnt share with me much   I did get the Magnolia from you though. I dont know if you remember it or not but you sent it with Doug. That is the last piece of it that I have.    I really liked it alot.

I didn't get much of that pecan from him either! He burned the rest of it in his smoker before I could pilfer his woodpile again.

I'll check and see if I have any of that magnolia left. You're welcome to it if I do. It don't make a box worth squat the way I've been doing it. Shame, too! I thought I was going to get arrested when I went back to that fellow's pile  and started helping myself before the city trash truck got there.

It looks like some pecan I got from Lee Youngblood a few years back.  Wasn't real dense and it was wormy.  Good looking callers!
