Ryan, hate to bust your bubble, but if the contest ended today, and the season did end on the first of May this one would end in a draw between the 3 of us. I sent a PM to Jeff (KP calls) to see if he killed & posted any Ms. Birds. I have not heard back from him. Contests have rules & if you killed a bird, it has not been posted according to the rules of the contest (according to the judges). I could post pictures and story of the bird I shot last (11 inch. beard and 1 1/2 inch spurs), and it would score better than the one you posted under "turkey witch doctor".
Just to let you know, I have you a call working now. I give calls to young bachelors that are getting ready to get married. I feel sorry for them, since their hunting time will be cut shorter in the years ahead. I have been doing this for years. These are some of my finest calls. I usually take a little extra time since we usually give a wedding gift to the couple also, and I want the call to at least match that gift. I do wish you and Miss Golden all the happiness associated with marriage. Good luck.
The call will be the East of the Slash cutting call since I believe the other call of mine that you have is a Gator Gobbling Stribling. I definately want you to have two of the best types, so that you can develope into a complete turkey hunter. PM me if that is not correct, just look on the letter that I sent with the first call. You can poke your chest out now, but just remember --- Pride goeth before the fall!!! I learned that this year when I entered this contest, and my favorite grounds to kill old stompers was flooded completely this year.
