Ha! Cheated death again...

Sometimes our mortality gets shown to us in living color. Last week, I went in for a routine my routine 50 yr inspection -- a colonoscopy for all you non-medical types. ;-) Well they found a 5 cm mass and I'm going in to get it removed tomorrow...along with a few inches of my colon. :-(  ALL BIOPSIES WERE NEGATIVE! They are almost 100% sure that there is no cancer, at least not yet. That's the way I'm looking at, anyway. :-)

 

So, as distasteful as it may seem, when its your time, DO NOT HESITATE!!! Go ahead and get it done. If I had put it off, ...well lets just not go there.

 

Surgery tomorrow at high noon and I'll be back before you know it!

  I agree Zum!!!!! I sweated over a tumor on my perotid gland for 2 years, not wanting to get it looked at, and hoping it would go away. I finally listened to my wife and went to have it looked at. Spent the next 2 weeks worrying about the biopsy results. It came back negative, but I spent 5 hours on the operating table because I let it get so big. DONT DO IT!!!!!!

'preciate all the good words sent for me, fellas!  I'm sure I'll be fine now *cool*. I'll try to post something from my iPhone as soon as I can tomorrow night or Saturday. I just hate that I'm going to miss Nashville this year for something like this. BUT, if I go ahead and let 'em cut me tomorrow, I should be good to go for the Mississippi opener in March! RkLu
