Thankx Fella's. A Bit Cleaner, Classy looking caller than most I have done. Like the Wood, always makes a difference in the call's appearence, I must say though, I have gone through a Quick learning experience on what woods, will produce What Tones and sounds from Naturally playing the Trumpet.
Some woods, are Naturally a deeper running call, and some, a Higher naturally running call. To Obtain the same tone from One trumpet to another, in Differnt woods, one must change the internals to aquire the same Natural Tone of the call while playing. Snakewood with the same internals will not sound the same as an ebony, Olive wood, or say sepelle or Mahogony.
All of my Trumpets can Achieve and Play the same notes and tones, but they run differently Naturally while playing the call. Something to remember, when a customer wants a Lower, or Higher toned Call. So now when One Orders a caller, I will ask, what do you want, a Naturally Running Lower toned call, say, Older hen or jake, Young gobbler, or a Higher Hen, Young hen toned call while naturally being played.
The harder and denser the wood, the Higher the call will run. A Softer, more Oily wood, will obtain a lower, Mellower tone while Naturally being played, Something I am just getting used to, I was racking my brain fer a bit trying to figure out why they were higher/lower, with the same internals, the tones change drastically with different woods, and the thickness of the call thereof.
Have been Working on the sound and Playability, now, I can Concentrate on the Cosmetics of the call.
This caller, being so hard and dense and dry, is a higher running caller, takes very little Air to run, and just a breath to obtain Gobbler and a good Gobble or Jake Yelps. While Naturally Running this call, you will be a Mature Hen. Just Higher than a Jake Yelp.
