Another Porter Story!!
« on: January 20, 2011, 05:43:41 AM »
Got a package of wingbones from Porter yesterday. Man they were right, as in smelling right. The mail man had to drive them around in his car all day Tuesday, because I wasn't at home to except them. I had to pick them yesterday from the post office. They kept them in the cage on the loading dock, until I picked them up. They said I was no longer welcome at the post office, band for life!!  *aah* *aah*  The ride home was no joy ride either. Thought my mom was going to get sick before we made it home!!  Might be awhile before I can play my other wingbones! FLASHBACK!!! Roc  *up* *up*

Don't ship bones without boiling and cleaning them first . That means INSIDE too. Cut the ends off, boil the bones lightly to cure the meat and scrape them inside and out til there isn't any meat or marrow left . THEN you can ship them anywhere. I bought a wingbone call a few years back from the Montana Mountain Man on ebay . His bones weren't treated properly and when I tried it for the first AND ONLY time , it tasted terrible ! It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I threw the call away ! No way was I ever going to try to run it again !! *lol* *lol*
