The Mother of all Questions!

How do I work a mouth call with Denture's? I cant get one to fit and be able to feel the call. So the last 2 years, since I got them Ive just taken out the top plate. I can work a call with out my top plate just fine, its just my buddie's laugh at me and give me bunch of guff over it and they cant understand me when I talk with 1 in my mouth which adds to their fun! LOL. Is there any Diafram mouth calls that you guys use? Thanks for not laughing at me in text!!  Crappiepro

Sorry but I had to laugh. I pictured and remembered when my dad tried one! He's 68 now and one of a kind. I have no answer for you but,,,,,,,,,,,,Man I feel for ya!

 Try the Primos dome style mouth calls. I know of several people w/ the same problem who love them.

I used to kill a lot of turkeys with mouth calls ---  then about 25 years ago I started making box calls.  It's funny but now I will carry a couple of different boxes to the woods.  One that will gobble, and a cuttin call with a great fall off.   I figured it up last year, and out of the last 13 birds harvested,  I used a mouth call one time on an old stubborn bird.  Become proficient in a different type call, say a trumpet and a box and you won't miss the mouth call.  In a lot of public woods they work better to those anyway.   They become numb to mouth calls cause all the young guys are hammering them with mouth calls.  You will enjoy the change also.  Just my opionion,  Im sure there are others out there.

Man you gave me a good one..... but don't worry I struggle without dentures...  I would recommend the Primos dome ones though.  I bet they would be the ticket!!

I used to use mouth calls almost 100% of the time until about 7 or 8 years ago. Even now, I always have one tucked in my jaw when I am working a bird. However, I haven't used one for anything more than making a bird stretch his ole neck up in probably 5 years. I just much prefer to run a friction call or box. I just like running them.

Tube calls rock!!! I agree with ya 3CB.  I love locating with a tube, it has tonal qualities like no other and gobblers seem to respond them when my best mouth calling won't.  You can perform every call on one that you can on a mouth. Including the kee kee...Give one a try, if you need some help learning one, shoot me a pm!

My First ones sound just like a truck hittin the brakes on asphault. Problem is, so do the rest. ;D
