This call is out of an old fence post. It kind of gets greener as the call goes up at the mouthpeice. Not a very good pic, sorry, it is a little greener than it looks in the pic. I used Ivory for the mouthpiece. I got this wood about 5 years ago and I sure had to work at getting this call out of this piece of wood. It was all weather worn and messed up.  It has a small bell end than most of the Trumpets I build due to this is all I could get out of this piece of wood. It turely is one of a kind. Mud cured Osage is hard to come by.  I got some more calls build this weekend and have finished my last trumpet before the show. I now have 21 calls built.  I'll see ya'll there at least the ones who are coming.

GREAT LOOKING CALLER, I like the Bell, as always, a very Nice call, You should do quite well in Nashville. Trumpets look Very Good.

Back in the 60's when I was tuning duck calls, all the callmakers would give you a duck call for bringing in a water soaked old osage fence post.  They made the best duck calls back then.  A tumpet ought to sound just fine out of one.  Send me a piece big enough for two paddles and I'll send you cuttin call.

Sorry but I don't have anymore of it,  most people would have thrown this piece away, it was that bad but I just seen it as a call. It just took 5 years for me to see it.  I do know a guy who says he knows where some is at but he hasn't produced them yet.  I think it is getting harder and harder to come by. The ones who have it ain't giving it up. Matt may have some but good luck get it. He made one of the prettiest trumpets I have seen awhile back out of some really green Mud Cured Osage and Ivory. I know someone was happpy.
