Try removing the spark plug and cranking it over at least 20 times (with the fuel shut off) to clear the cylinder . Then replace the spark plug with a new one . It sounds like it may be hydro-locked with oil and fuel which can make it difficult to crank the engine. If you clear it out really good first , with a new plug , it may fire-up and stay running on it's own. It's hard to diagnose without being there , but I make my living building and repairing engines.
