John....I used to get that in the brown...and I liked it...but you can't get brown no more.....

I always heard the brown had a dye that glazed.  I had a piece of brown one time and I think it had oil in it.  It did not work like the blue carpenters chalk.  May have been in my head but I went back to the blue.

I use Dixon Railroad Chalk...comes in lots of colors

Looked at my turkey tupperware storage box, and found the rest of the brown chalk I mentioned at the beginning -- its Knight & Hale, not Primos.  I had a couple pieces in an old Primos mouth call case and thought it was from them.

Thanks for the feedback guys, confirms all chalk isn't created equal.

Forestry suppliers inc.  You will get a lifetime supply in any color you choose for $12.25  oil-free *up*
I have all you want if you need some, Also check midwest Turkey supply the red chalk is good!

Thanks Tim.  Can't wait to get this brown crap I have rubbed all over off that walnut / butternut long box you built for me last year and get some of the good stuff on it.  I had no idea it could make the much of a difference.
