Would be good with a biscuit and coffee..........
« on: January 01, 2011, 10:56:01 AM »
......is this new wafer thin caller o' MadHatter's that I'm callin' the Zip 'N Tip Turkey Tippin' Tool. Ya just Reel it out to Reel 'Em In...2.5 Inch playing surface. Super thin: half an inch. Super lightweight: under two ounces. Attachable to either a carbiner or neck lanyand. With a carbiner you can hook it to yer lanyard loop, belt loop, button hole, or even your trigger guard when the callin' gets tight.

Don't know 'bout ya'll but there's been a turkey hunt 'er two where I wuz tryin' to find my slate I'd laid down beside me amongst the leaves just when that big ol' three toed monster came into view. No huntin' yer call with this contraption. And the pulley on the carbiner I'm using isn't so tight that it will zip up in a moment's flash and scare away the bird either.

It can come with a dull black carbiner, or a fancy dan carbiner with a pewter struttin' tom on it, or just a plain ol neck lanyard. All methods have the ability to detach the call completely.

I plan on marketing this as Zip 'N Tip Turkey Tippin' Tool and each call will come with an insert in the package with one tip I've learned from 25 years of chasin' turkeebirds. It may be a humorous tip on how not to screw up or a genuine secret o' mine that I've used to bag the 94 birds I've slung.

I know what most may think, hard to get much beak out of such a thin call but I swear on all my dead gobblers that this little pocket player has a bunch of bird in it. Even thin as it is, there is a sound board in it that allows it to achieve that rollover and break you get from larger calls.

I welcome any comments, suggestions, criticism, etc. Thanks for lookin'

Redbeard... we need to talk :)

My grandpa always said, "good things come in small packages!!!"

That is one nifty looking call and looks like you've spent some time developing it!

Got any in Osage?

Thanks for the comments fellas...

So far it's only slate over slate. Will try glass over slate and see how she goes......thing about 'em is gotta keep the weight under 2 oz so the carbiner will hold 'em up.
