Merry Christmas to everyone, and introduction of a newbie...
« on: December 22, 2010, 10:32:14 AM »
I hope all you have a great Holiday season and a Merry Christmas. I haven't been around much and not talked to some of you for a while. Deer season is winding down for us here and it's about time to get back in the shop.

Recently we have hired my cousin in our restoration business. Long story short, he was in college a few years back and decided to do a paper on call building. Since that time Derek has moved up here and his interest in wood working and call building has really taken off. Tonight will be his first time in the shop trying to get used to the lathe. Hopefully I can help him avoid the same hard lessons I learned via knots on my head from run away wood. At any rate, wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and we should have several calls finished up soon. For those that have been waiting, I apologize, between two kids a 70 hour job a week and deer hunting I have absolutely had no time. With having someone in the shop with me I should be able to get a lot more done. Have a great one.

Hope you have a great Christmas too!!! I understand exactly how it is with little ones, I have 3 myself. Band practice, recitals, paino, basketball, baseball, daycare, etc.... It never stops but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Hope you're kids have the Christmas that lives in their dreams  *up*

Wouldn't trade mine for the world but wouldn't give you a nickle for 4 more just like em!!!!  *aah*

To be honest I weigh my options at night to play with my kids or go work in the shop. That is not much of a choice to me. I don't get home until around 7pm and they go to bed by 8:30 or 9. I could work on it on Saturday but deer hunting has taken my time. Hopefully I'll be able to manage it better and get in the shop more on Saturdays.

Ya'll have fun and be safe!
